The King Lot are a rock trio from the heart of Scotland formed in 2013. Melodic, with a hard rock edge, the band straddle a few rock genres and are fast becoming known for being masters of earwormery. You would also never guess they’re a trio based on the depth of sound they create. Their self titled debut album was released via Crown Jewel Records, the band’s own record label, to critical acclaim and received rave reviews from the likes of Planet Rock, Fireworks Magazine and PowerPlay. The band have grown year on year playing shows with like minded rock acts such as Tyketto, The Answer, Inglorious, Big Country and Dan Reed to name a few. They have picked up a loyal fan base along the way, developing a reputation as a solid live band. 2017 saw the departure of guitarist Michael Fairbairn and the arrival of young guitarist Jay Moir who has brought a fresh, new dimension to The King Lot with heavier riffs and of course, that all important beard. "A World Without Evil", the follow up to their first album, was released in January 2018 and sees the band explore more complex lyrical themes, with a heavier sound than before but still retaining the melodic hooks they've come to be known for. With a sold out album launch, a UK tour and numerous festival appearances including HRH AOR under their belt, The King Lot are making waves on the underground scene without a doubt.
