We're on tour at the moment but the gigs are still rolling in! We've been announced for two great festivals over the last week and hope to see some familiar faces!
First up is SOS Festival in Manchester in July 2018. This festival has been going for over 10 years and people fly from all over Europe to come and see some of the best underground music the UK has to offer. We're not doing a plugged in set this time, we're doing one of our rare acoustic sets so you're in for a treat. We're playing on Sunday 15th July 2018 and you can grab tickets here We're also heading back to Wakefield for Redemption Festival in September. We had a blast playing this festival last year and are honoured to be asked back to play further up the bill this time! The festival is in aid of three great causes: Wakefield Hospice, Barnsley Hospice and Dementia UK. Redemption Festival is on 15th September 2018 at Warehouse 23 and you can find out more about it here See you at the front!

![]() We're excited to tell you that our new album, "A World Without Evil", is officially released today and can be streamed/downloaded at all usual channels here. If you're more of a traditionalist then you can grab the CD from our online shop here. We're proud of it. Still not convinced? Here's a selection of the reviews so far... "No second album nerves for The King Lot then. They’ve grabbed this by the scruff of the neck, advanced and toughened up their sound while still crafting compelling hooks and unstoppable melodies on a record packed with incident and excitement." Rock and Roll Traffic "Some of the grittiest, thick sounding hard melodic power-trio rock you’ll hear along with earwormery that digs in so deep you'll need extended-length cotton buds to get the buggers back out." Fabrications HQ "A barrage of wild vocals, unwavering guitar riffs, hard hitting drum parts and elaborate guitar solos. I urge anyone, no matter your music taste, to listen to this album." EN4 News Jason, Chris, Jay The King Lot.
As you know, our second album, "A World Without Evil", is written and we've been toying with when and how to get it recorded and released for you all. Well we've decided that we couldn't possibly go ahead and start this journey without you so we're giving you a chance to be part of it.
Tonight we're launching our very first PledgeMusic campaign which gives you access to tons of exclusives and behind the scenes footage, not to mention the fact you'll be getting your hands on the album before anyone else! You'll be the first to see updates such as the track-listing and the artwork and have access to updates no-one else will. Oh and did we mention tickets to our exclusive private listening party are on there? Click "Pledge Now" to head over to the PledgeMusic site now and be one of the first to get your hands on A World Without Evil when we release it in February. Remember, all Pledgers get it before anyone else! Jason, Chris, Jay The King Lot. After the departure of guitarist Michael Fairbairn, The King Lot are excited to welcome their new guitarist Jay Moir. Whilst the guys are of course sad to lose Michael, Jay is already bringing a fresh new edge to the band and will join Jason and Chris in recording the follow up to their debut album, "The King Lot". Jay is well known on his local scene in Fife and has been gigging for over a decade. His influences include Eddie Van Halen and Paul Gilbert who he recently joined on stage at a masterclass in Edinburgh. For a taster of what's to come, check out the video below which features the chance for a sneaky listen of one of the forthcoming album tracks... It is with great regret that we announce our guitarist Michael Fairbairn is moving on from The King Lot.
As many of you know, Michael welcomed his beautiful baby daughter, Iris, into the world in February and he wishes to focus more on his family which we completely understand. Michael says: "It wasn't an easy decision to move on from The King Lot but my family is my No.1 priority and I would like to thank everyone for all of the experiences over the past few years. I've met a lot of great people, have learned so much and created memories that will last with me forever. I wish Jason and Chris all the best for the continued success of the band and I know this is the right decision for everyone at this point in our lives." Being in a band is challenging, juggling family commitments and often being away from home. There are no hard feelings and this is certainly not the end for The King Lot. We have a solid touring schedule with more gigs to come as well as the recording and release of our second album which we're incredibly excited about. Says drummer Chris Gillon: "The last four years have been a lot of fun and we have shared many great experiences. I wish Michael all the best in whatever he decides to do next." Lead vocalist and bassist Jason Sweeney adds: "I've known Michael for years and it's always a pleasure to work with him in our many musical adventures. I respect Michael's decision in leaving The King Lot to allow us to take things to the next step in gigging more and further afield. A charismatic and elegant gent he is" All gigs booked will be honoured and arrangements regarding a new guitarist will be announced in due course. Jason and Chris The King Lot ![]() After much debate and demand from our loyal fans, we have decided to release our debut album on vinyl. Because we feel this is something very special, we want our fans to really be part of it so instead of making the vinyl available straight away, we’re opening up pre-orders for a limited time. This gives us the opportunity to offer you something really special, your name on our artwork for the LP as a thank you for all your support. As soon as we reach 100 pre-orders, we will send off the names for printing and the production of our vinyl can begin! Any pre-orders after this time will not include names on artwork but will still be special as this is a strictly one off limited run. Whilst we would love to include everyone's name on the artwork, we have to have a cut off point to send off the artwork and start production. Vinyl production can take up to 12 weeks and we don’t want anyone to wait longer than they need to. Once we’ve had these produced, we won’t be doing it again so make sure you get in quick. All pre-orders will also be signed by the band too, regardless of if you're one of the lucky 100! Click "Get Me My Vinyl" below to secure your place in The King Lot’s history!
